I finally realize something- I screwed up badly.

Alex Mann

So I started tackling the challenge of debunking Holocaust denial because there was a worrying lack of effort to do so. I see why now.

At first, I just explained why their arguments were wrong, then I went into more detail and started showing all the documents and witnesses. My goal was to put lots of good info into the world so that nobody would ever fall for holocaust denial again.

Finally, this lead to me debating actual holocaust deniers.

I thought it was a great chance to get their arguments right from them. I could debunk their comments on the spot, get all the info I needed, and really dive into their content.

I was used though and I now realize why historians have a “do not engage” policy with deniers.

The first sign was when Jim Rizoli, a known Nazi and ACLU enemy, made a video about me- and then 12 more. Like an idiot, I made a response and played right in.

I decided not to spend 3 weeks making videos about a denier saying “you are crazy” over and over and moved on.

It got annoying though. I had this one back and forth with a denier named David who made the dumbest arguments I have ever heard. I realized then I was wasting my time so I blocked almost all of them. This was about a month ago.

Through all this, one guy was super nice- named Mark. Mark is a very regular user who runs the holocaust denial spaces on Quora. He was VERY friendly at all times and it was strange. I began to think he had convictions and maybe was interested in a real discussion.

Mark got me in the groups, approved my posts, and lambasted people for being rude to me.

After searching my name and “holocaust” on Quora I found this.

They fucking used me to get clicks on their denial spaces. They used me to get clicks on videos.

Like an IDIOT I fell for it.

I KNEW I should have drawn the line at engaging with them but instead, I could not resist the urge to make stupid people look stupid.

I drove traffic to a holocaust denial space and I drove traffic to holocaust denial videos. Granted, I don’t think they gained any converts off me as they never presented a valid argument but regardless- I did a bad thing.

With this, I am done with holocaust denial. I’ve written 2 dozen posts on it. I’ve proven it happened, I’ve laid out the evidence, and I am satisfied with the results. Back to Roman history for me.
