Simon Cowell is best known as the tough judge behind talent shows like The X Factor and Britain's Got Talent. But behind the famous TV personality is someone with a deep love for animals.

At the age of 62, Cowell revealed that he had written his first-ever will. He said he had never made one before because he never really thought about demise. At one point, he even considered having his body cryonically frozen after his demise, but later decided against the idea.

Instead, Cowell chose to focus on something close to his heart. He said his will includes everything he truly cares about, especially the charities he has supported for many years. Reports said he planned to leave around £20 million to animal charities, including Dogs Trust and Battersea Dogs & Cats Home.

His love for animals is nothing new. Over the years, Cowell has donated money to help rescue dogs from the dog meat trade in South Korea through Humane Society International. He has also worked as an ambassador for Hopefield Animal Sanctuary, which gives neglected and abandoned animals a safe place to live.

For Cowell, this decision was about making sure his money would continue helping animals long after he is gone. Rather than keeping his fortune within the family, he wanted it to support causes he believed in the most.

It is worth noting that this is the TV producer Simon Cowell, not another British man with the same name who founded the Wildlife Aid Foundation. The two are sometimes confused, but they are different people.
