As a cancer surviver, no foods can prevent cancer. You can eat healthy, avoid fatty foods, avoid sugar, avoid too much salt. Eat fruits, veggies, and so on, but still get cancer. You could never smoke, never drink alcohol, still get cancer. There are so many things around you that can cause it. Me, I got it most likely from working in the oil business and smoking cigarets for many years( I quit smoking). There are many high risk factors in many professions. Exposed occupations are for example, firefighters exposed to chemical fumes. Oil workers, car mechanics, hydraulic mechanics, truck drivers being exposed to benzene in oils and fuel and exhaust. Shift workers, night work, studies show that men working shift and nights have heightened risk for prostate cancer, among women heightened risk for breast cancer. Hairdressers exposed to chemicals in hair products and also self-tanning cabinet(?). Radon exposure in workplaces, work with pesticides, sun/UV exposure. So many factors that is difficult to control. In Norway, about 1100 people are every year diagnosed with work related cancers. And as they always say, SMOKERS.
Me, I got bladder cancer most likely from smoking and exposure to chemicals and benzene in oil products working in the oil industry for many years.
In Norway, 1850 new patient are diagnosed with bladder cancer every year, about 60% men and 40% women. In average one person die every day from bladder cancer. What scares me about this cancer, very few has heard about it. Again in Norway, it’s the 5th most common form of cancer, 7th among women. And still few has heard about it🤔
But, I still believe having a healthy body helps fighting it.
