Did Diane Keaton really pass away?

She unfortunately did pass away. And I literally just found out about the news.

The cause of her death is unknown right now, but the iconic actress passed away today, October 11th, 2025. What we do know is that the 79 year old with the youthful spirit and off beat sense of humor leaves behind a legacy that extends over 50 years.

Most of us remember her for her role as Kay Adams-Corleone in the Godfather trilogy. Then there was her role in Annie Hall, playing alongside Woody Allen, that won her an Academy Award in 1978. Her turns in the First Wives Club, Father of the Bride, with Steve Martin, and Mad Money, alongside talents like Queen Latifah, Ted Danson and Katie Holmes, solidified her acting chops.

And it's her roles in comedies that I will remember most, besides the fact that she loved to dress like an art student. Her ability to play somber and low-key, to quirky and high-spirited is not something every actress could pull off. I have often been stunned at how an elderly lady like herself was able to play “youthful” so well and not at all come across as just an older woman trying to turn back the clock.

I will miss Diane Keaton but no more than her family whom are grappling with this tragedy. But her legacy will live on through her films and through her fashion.
