As a Filipino, what disgusts you about the Filipino society?

I have a read a similar answer two or three years back, I would like to add and here are mine:

  • Confucius once said, “in a failed state, poverty is glorified”, and it’s true in the case of Filipinos. Filipinos spend on average around 8–10 hours of scrolling on Facebook, Twitter, and TikTok for a while now, and as a result, they are a target for disinformation. Disinformation is not just limited to politics mind you, but sometimes disinformation is extended to false sense of gratitude example, being grateful your job even if you’re being exploited, or not holding corrupt politicians responsible and somehow you are the reason why you have not progressed in society.
A Re-Written History: How Digital Misinformation is Distorting Facts in the Philippines
Ahead of the May 9, 2022, elections, civil society organizations (CSOs) in the Philippines have set their sights on the digital space to combat increasing
  • Relating to number, “spend on average 8 to 10 hours a day, scrolling on […]”. I’m not gonna lie, I do to, but that is only on breaks, not on average. In my free time, I write, read, and play video games, but who I’m talking about here are employed people, or people of employment age. You cannot really blame the people for being unemployed, but I do suspect the current policies that the current constitutions have that prevented thousands of companies from reaching their potential, and instead, made the old families such as the Ayalas, the Sy’s, and the Villars to grow while not giving a chance to smaller companies. This, in my opinion, hindered the creation of jobs.
  • Most people are very inconsiderate. It all boils down to their philosophy, most think the world revolves around them, even late at night, skwaters, sing like there’s no tomorrow, disrupting everyone trying to get a goodnight sleep. Some just barge in into another’s house like they’re the owner or some will even badmouth your food if you ever invite them to your party. There is a reason why foreigners do not like to buy houses in subdivisions in PH.
  • In relation to ignorance, the trait that really disgust me the most is the ability of these people to spread rumors. It's really different when Filipinos lie, it's as if almost it is true. What's the point of university publications when anyone can just publish their “research” on Facebook or Tiktok? For example, a Filipino idiot from Youtube once claimed that the cure for cancer is putting a leaf of cabbage on your ankle, and when an Australian MD called her out on that, thousands of Filipinos rallied against the MD. They readily make false claims without thorough study and spread it. I know not all, but why is it every Filipino I encounter have this kind of trait?
  • Ignorance is glorified. Yeah, these people looooove to preach about “don’t belittle me, educate me”, but when their views are challenged, they get offended. Ironically, they mock the educated. In my observation, like 6 in 10 Filipino users of Facebook are from the slums.
  • Rape victim shaming exists. Yes, in this society, the number one cause of rape is not the rapist but the raped. Why? What the hell are those girls wearing?
  • There is no political philosophy. In PH, no such thing exists. The main reason why politicians run for office is not because they want to serve but it’s because, they need jobs. So, instead of working hard like they preach, they always eye on what seems to be the easy route however immoral and unethical it is. This is what’s known as diskarte. The US did not fail Filipinos, Filipinos failed themselves.
  • Relating to diskarte. It doesn’t matter if you cause inconvenience in your society and to those around you as long as you get the advantage. As a result, most of these people don’t have a sense of formality and proper conduct. Etiquette doesn’t even exist, nor was there a philosophy relating to it.
  • The existence and the slow development of the Philippines is proof that democracy should be watched and monitored. One of the criticisms of democracy is that it only works if the people—or the majority—are educated or philomaths. The country, despite its department of education receiving the most of GDP funding, is still one of the most ignorant countries in the world.
Apparently, Filipinos Have Below-Average I.Q., According to New Report
Yikes.

With these common character traits, I have come to conclude that the pejorative term for Filipinos: monkeys, applies and is rightfully justified. As the culture and nature of these people exhibit that of an animal as they quick to give in to impulses (corruption), incapable of reason (ignorance), and does not hold value in learning or doing service for one’s community.
