I believe that is the context of what the UN wants, which is to limit ‘economic refugees’ or ‘country shopping’ by so-called refugees who are told they can get on boats and sail of to the country of their choice on the mistaken belief that country is obliged to accept them.
Hence the principal of the first safe country. But that doesn’t always mean that (1)that nearest safe country doesn’t have to supply you with food and housing and the other necessities ‘ of life EXCEPT IF YOU CALL A TENT AND A BAG OR RICE A MONTH ENOUGH
And then wait years to be accepted somewhere else!
Most of this legislation is to attempt to disrupt ‘economic refugees’ who want to claim refugee status because they can earn more money in another country….
And it’s also designed to disrupt the ‘human trafficking ‘situation, where people smugglers will tell people what they want to hear about how much better of they will be in another country….
And then charge them a lot of money and shove them into containers or boats and that’s the last you hear from them
maybe it’s time all of these ‘refugees, economic or otherwise, wised up to the fact that sometimes the amout of money they gathered to pay ‘people smugglers, they could probably have set up a small shop or business in their own country.
And maybe it’s time all these so called refugees, mostly economic refugees. are actually chasing a dream that somehow the streets in the West are paved with gold and everyone drives a new car and owns and house….. which is all basically bullshit.
Every middle class Westerners with their cars and houses….. ARE UP TO THEIR NECK IN DEBT… AND ACTUALLY OWN SWEET F**K ALL… AND IT’S OWNED BY THE BANKS AND MORTGAGE COMPANIES…. AND WE SPEND MOST OF OUR LIVES PAYING FOR THIS LITTLE BLOCK OF LAND ,AND CARS BEFORE WE DIE….. IF WE ARE LUCKY!
Otherwise we are like other citizens around the world, that will NEVER own their little block of land and instead will pass on that debt or mortgage to their children.
And that seems to be a that happens in many Asian countries, where the parents pass on the debt to their children, and this is becoming more prevalent in the West
So maybe ’refugees‘ from everywhere need to do some more research about fleeing to the West …. and maybe concentrate on staying home and improving the conditions there, instead of thinking ‘emigration to the West is the answer to all you problems.
Because it isn’t… and often it’s only the beginning of your problems… not the end!
