Will Mpabbe & Halland surpass Messi & Ronaldo?

By the way, the correct spelling is Mbappe and Haaland.

From the way things are looking, I don’t think Mbappe will usurp Messi or Ronaldo. I think a big reason for this is that he did not go to Real Madrid. But why, it is just one transfer move? No we all know that the move to Real Madrid would have improved his career. The fact that he has stayed in the french league for all of his career means that there will always be the question of whether he could do it with any other team.

Furthermore, it is fair to say that Mbappe does not have the best attitude at times and I think that hinders him in the race to be the greatest of all time. What is also apparent is that Messi and Ronaldo were far more talented than Mbappe at his age. You can go into whatever stats you like if you saw all three of them on the pitch, Mbappe is third on that list. As I mentioned previously, his staying at PSG has hindered him. Although he has done well on the international stage, the European stage has been lacklustre as he is still yet to win the Champions League. I know the way in which we assess him is harsh but Messi and Ronaldo have set surreal standards. Mbappe is yet to win a Ballon D’or something Messi did when he was Mbappe’s age and he did it in front of Mbappe in 2021. It is quite clear he has a long way to go.

I think that time will tell as you never know what can happen but at this moment in time, he is certainly not matching Messi’s standards at his age. As for Haaland, I am unsure about him. He has everything it takes to be an elite striker and he is already one of the best in the world, maybe only second to Lewandowski. What hinders him is his lack of trophies in general. Despite this, it is inevitable that he will collect some silverware during his stay in Manchester. I think if anyone is going to surpass Messi and Ronaldo between the two of them I would say, Haaland. I don’t think Haaland is as talented as Messi or Ronaldo because they are once in a lifetime. At the moment I think Messi and Ronaldo’s crowns are still very safe.
