Tangiers, Morocco.
It began when we arrived by boat from Spain. The arrival guards took our passports and ripped off their plastic covers.
The , we were assaulted by nearly 100 aggressive people demanding we tour with them. We finally noticed what appeared to be 2 nicer ones: we accepted a 2 hour tour for $50. They began by taking us to an obvious friend of theirs selling carpets. We spent over 30 minutes there. When we arrived at our hotel (supposedly the best in Tangiers) five minutes more than the 2 hours booked.”, the 2 gentlemen demanded $150 due to the extra time. We refused as we waisted so much time at their buddy’s rug store. They began yelling at us in Arabic. Suddenly, the car surrounded by over 30 men yelling at us too. These men began rocking the car! We finally ran our out & into our hotel.
We rented a car the next day to drive to a famous mountains village. When we returned to drop off the car, the car company doubled the prices quoted!
That night at dinner, our waiter warned us about food tampering in the hotel’s kitchen!
We were supposed to stay 7 nights. We fled after 2 nights and retuned to Spain!
