Pork is to Muslims what sunlight is to vampires and silver to werewolves.
You may initially feel a slight irritation in the throat a few seconds after accidentally eating pork. This is followed by strong sense of nausea and abdominal pain. Within a minute, there is spontaneous combustion; we burst into flames and explode. That is why all Muslims carry a small bottle of Zamzam water on us at all times. It is like an Epipen for accidental pork consumption.
This horrible life-threatening outcome is why we avoid pigs like the plague
In all seriousness, nothing happens when a Muslim accidentally eats pork.
I don’t know why some people seem to believe that Muslims burst into flames or something in the presence of pork. As a Muslim, I can assure you that this is not true. Pigs are one of the many animals that Muslims are forbidden from consuming in Islam.
Islam, like most religions, places a great deal of focus on the intention behind an action. Sure, eating pork is a forbidden and thus a sin in Islam. However, it is a different matter if one does eat pork unknowingly. It is not a sin if there was no intention of consuming pork. I suppose you should probably be more cautious and aware of your food in the future.
“And there is no sin on you concerning that in which you made a mistake, except in regard to what your hearts deliberately intend. And Allah is Ever Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.
-Quran (Al-Ahzab 33:5)
