- It is too salty - not good for your uric acid especially when you have a high blood pressure
- Too oily from animal fat - too much LDL cholesterol that isn’t good for the heart.
- White rice - Filipinos in general eat too much white rice which is already stripped of its fibrous content. Brown rice which is healthier, isn’t popular with many Filipinos probably because it is more expensive compared to regular white rice plus its texture is more coarse compared to white rice.
- High sugar - a lot of Filipino dishes especially Filipino spaghetti use lots of sugar not just the main thing but also ones found in banana ketchup which is also a staple sauce for many Filipinos
- Pork-based - Filipinos love pork, especially the fatty part, almost every dish has pork in it. Similar to item #2, it is full of cholesterol.
- Animal organs - they are just too toxic to eat, not to mention some unwanted bacteria from the bits of shit found in the intestines
As I mentioned in several related questions, I’m not a fan of Filipino food even though I’m a Filipino citizen myself. Although I like some of the dishes like chicken sisig, tapsilog, kalderetang baka or kambing, kilawin (which is kinda like the Peruvian dish ceviche), eggplant based dishes, sinigang na salmon sa miso but the majority including the overrated adobo, blood and pork-based dishes are something that I wouldn’t eat.
