POMEGRANATE

Do you often eat pomegranate? Then definitely read this post..!

Including pomegranate in our diet is very beneficial for health. If you eat it daily, it will prevent blood loss in the body. Helps maintain energy in the body. There are many more benefits of eating pomegranate fruit. But everyone is told that eating pomegranate every day is harmful

So to make full use of their benefits and avoid possible risks, some important points should be kept in mind. Dr. Archana Batra, nutritionist and certified diabetes educator lists seven things you should avoid while eating pomegranate. You can find out what they are in this post...

Benefits of Pomegranate

Pomegranate has a bright color and unique shape. Rich in antioxidants, vitamins A, C and E, pomegranate is a nutrient-dense fruit that you will undoubtedly consume regularly. Regular consumption of this fruit can actually improve your health.

Strengthens bones

This pomegranate fruit naturally strengthens your bone health. Due to its high content of flavonoids, the fruit helps prevent loss of bone density. These flavonoids fight any inflammation in the body that otherwise leads to cartilage damage and problems like arthritis.

With so many benefits, Dr. Archana Batra explains 7 things to avoid ...

1. Pomegranates in general are known to be unsanitary because their juicy seeds are often discolored. "A large basin or sink should be used when peeling the fruit," says Dr. Batra. "A good way is to chop the fruit and eat it in water. While slicing the fruit, submerging the pomegranate in water will absorb the liquid and facilitate the process of removing the seeds from the skin."

2. Pomegranate has delicious and healthy seeds inside, but the skin of the pomegranate is not suitable for eating. Its hard, thick outer skin is nasty and bitter," said Dr. Batra. So, focus on removing and tasting the juicy, sour-sweet arils inside. A simple way to do this is to peel the pomegranate open to get the seeds without eating the skin.

3. Avoid eating too much at one time. Dr. Batra says, "Pomegranates are full of fiber, which is good for digestion, but eating too much can lead to digestive problems like stomach aches. To enjoy the health benefits of the fruit without overdoing it, half a cup of aril is enough. This way, you can enjoy the fruit while maintaining digestive comfort.

4. Allergies to pomegranate are rare, although they can happen to some people. An allergic reaction can cause swelling, itching and breathing difficulties. It is very important to stop eating pomegranate immediately and seek medical help if you experience any of these symptoms.

5. Avoid throwing away the whole fruit if the outer skin is stained. Pomegranates occasionally have discolored or stained skin, although this does not always indicate that the seeds are of poor quality. "Pomegranate's thick skins protect the seeds inside. If the fruit looks broken, make sure the inside is still tasty and the arils intact before throwing it away. Often, the seeds are intact even if the outer layer is missing," points out Dr. Batra.

6. An unripe pomegranate is very sour and less flavorful. To determine if a pomegranate is ripe, choose one that is heavy for its size and has a rich, vibrant color. Although firm, the leather should give somewhat when pressure is applied. Ripe pomegranates are rich in flavor and sweetness, which increases the sense of pleasure when eaten.

7. Don't miss out on the health benefits of pomegranate by including it regularly in your diet. Pomegranate is rich in antioxidants, vitamins and minerals and offers many health benefits such as lowering blood pressure, inflammation, and potential cancer prevention.

So you should avoid common mistakes like eating the inedible parts of the pomegranate as Dr. Batra says. By using, storing, and handling pomegranates properly, you can enhance your experience and maximize the health benefits of this super fruit.
