Why is traffic still a problem in the Philippines?

I can't understand where people get stupid answers.

  1. Reduce cars? So how will people get to work? Even my pet shih tzu will die in a jeepney or LRT. They are not fit for human use.
  2. Follow Rules. Even if people followed rules, there is just too many independent buses on the road.

So what causes traffic?

  1. No sidewalks. As a result, people use their cars as near as 500 meters to their destination. A mere 500 meters is dangerous to walk. Because there are no sidewalks. And because there are no sidewalks, people are walking in the atreets adding to traffic.
  2. No useful public transport. Why are people buying two cars rather than use the buses Nd LRT? Because they are dangerous, filthy and unfit for humans. Would you let your 11 year old use the bus without worrying? Poor people use it because they are desperate BUT STILL UNFIT FOR HUMANS
  3. Bicycle lanes would help but government officials are idiots. In Ortigas, they created a bicycle lane in just the one street. So what is the use if I can't use my bike in the bikeless roads on my way to the grocery store? Then they brag of their bicycle lanes
  4. Filipinos are butthurt. If you suggest these solutions, they will just tell you to leave the country. Because they are used to living like dogs
  5. They are afraid of a few thousand jeepney and bus drivers losing jobs if they establish a more realiable Bus Rail Transit System.

However, one answer based on facts is that:

  1. Car companies bought the train companies and closed them down or made sure they are miserable so that more people will buy cars. This is the reason everybody NEEDS a car, not just want.
  2. Car companies did this in America too. America has a traffic problem too.
