Why do people of Chinese bloodline feel superior to native Filipinos in the Philippines?

Most of them are just plain human, meaning there is always 1 in 5 people who have extremely racist views. Most of the Chinese tend to get along well with Filipinos today, but economically, they dominated and not just in the Philippines but appears to be the whole of Southeast Asia[1]. The picture below[2] is an approximation of just much of the economy is controlled by Chinese ethnics (mainly Min people). The accuracy of this map, is, as always like all academic infographic, questioned.

But it does provide a simple glimpse just how economically superior the Chinese in Southeast Asia are. My theory is this: the Chinese have been using money for more than a thousand years, and in the process had already developed a culture of money, while in the Philippines, they have just been using it starting by the mid-16th century and it was a gradual circulation because up until the 19th century, they were still using barter.
