Foods carry different vitamins and minerals. For me, there is no “one best” food that we can live off on but I can suggest a few nutrients-dense foods that you can incorporate in your diet.
- Wild Salmon – are rich in healthy fats and protein, these nutrients are helpful in providing a healthy heart, manage your weight and prevent inflammation.
- Whole-Leaf Aloe Juice – is packed with vitamins like A, C, and E, and it also has vitamin B12, folic acid, choline, magnesium, calcium, and zinc. It is also rich in amino acids and salicylic that are helpful for digestion.
- Pumpkin Seeds – rich source of magnesium and zinc that most people are deficient in. Magnesium is helpful in a lot of bodily processes like sleep and metabolism while zinc is a key player in immune system.
- Brazil Nuts – is rich in antioxidants and immunity boosting properties.
- Watercress – is packed with phytonutrients and antioxidants, both of which help prevent disease, help the body detoxify and slow aging.
- Sauerkraut – can help build a healthy digestive system by making the good bacteria in your body thrive. Having a healthy digestive system is important in nutrient absorption and immunity.
A healthy diet of whole foods from all the food groups, within the recommended amount, is essential in ensuring a nutritious, well-balanced diet. This way, you can have a different combination of nutrients and beneficial substances that your body can take advantage of.
