Hitler did not look Aryan. Why?

According to 2010 study of Adolf Hitler’s DNA done by scientists in Belgium, his genetic lineage showed some signs of Jewish and North African heritage.

The scientist, Mr. Smulders, tested the blood of a great-nephew of Hitler living in America. Some of his genetic markers are seen primarily in people of North African or Jewish heritage.

Now the fact that the DNA sample provided for the study came from a great-nephew makes it a little less-than convincing to me — who is to say these supposedly North African or Jewish genes came from the Hitler side of the family and not from the non-Hitler side of the great-nephew’s mother and grandmother? On the other hand, Hitler had very thick, black hair and facial hair. His hair was rather dark for a typical Austrian man, me thinks.

Family trees are messy things… as the old saying goes: “Mommy’s baby, daddy’s maybe”. God only knows if Hitler’s father, grandfather and great-grandfather were who he believed they were. And it would be remarkably easy for one of his female ancestors to have taken a non-caucasian lover somewhere along the line. We’ll never know. The king of all racists may not be all that white, after all.
