Here are some reasons why I have an unpleasant feeling about the Filipinos/Filipinas :
-When Pia Wurtzbach won the Miss Universe crown, some of the contestants didn't hug Pia. Guess what happen next? Filipino netizens went on a full rampage by attacking those contestants, including Ariadne Gutierrez (1st runner-up), who was wrongly crowned as Miss Universe 2015 at the beginning.
-When Catriona Gray of the Philippines wasn't announced as Miss World 2016, Filipinos went on a full rampage by spamming Miss World's Facebook page, calling Miss World organization a fraud. They also attacked Stephanie del Valle of Puerto Rico, who won the Miss World crown, and Natasha Manuella of Indonesia, who placed third, saying that they didn't deserve to place higher than Miss Philippines.
-When Maureen Wroblewitz won Asia's Next Top Model, Filipinos again went on a full rampage by attacking fans from other countries who disagrees with Maureen's victory. They have the full right to disagree. Plus, there's a reason why many disagrees. It's simply because the photographer didn't choose her best photo. Of course, it's not Maureen's fault for being chosen as winner, but still, people have the right to disagree in a civilized manner.
-When Xian Lim (Filipino actor) and Nicole Cordovez (1st runner-up of Miss Grand International 2016) were announced as hosts of Miss Grand International 2017, Filipinos went on a full rampage again by insulting and belittling the English skill of Ariska Putri Pertiwi (Miss Grand International 2016), simply because her English is worse than Nicole's. So what? Pretty sure native English speakers from Western countries won't laugh at someone else's poor English skill. Besides, English isn't a native language for most Indonesians. These Filipinos act like English is the most important thing on Earth. Take a look at the Chinese in China. Tell me how good they are when it comes to English? Worse than the Filipinos! But politically, socially, and economically, their country still managed to perform better than the Philippines.
There's no point arguing with beauty pageant fans from the Philippines. Debating with them is like lowering your brain to the lowest level. Most of the arguments were just pointless, as most of them tend to use ad hominems.
