if you go buy my choice: Singapore is where I used to live, no doubt is on top of the list, and Thailand where I live now, comes 2nd place in photo-finish. Both countries won’t disappoint you as each has what it takes to get you a complete and awesome life in its own unique ways I would say —of your choice.
As no two people are the same, I don’t know what kind of life you, as a foreigner are looking for.
You can live a stress-free life in Singapore, do not listen to hearsay about the old-fashioned saying ‘Singapore is a FINE city or “Disneyland with the Death Penalty"-That’s rubbish! Do you find it stressful looking at the three pictures?—I don’t
Indeed, living in Singapore is somewhat like living in the Garden of Eden (still with the forbidden fruit tree) with the convenience of City life.
That’s Singapore I know I had the pink of my physical and mental health surrounded by good people and true friends. I worked with people who had high regard for disciplines in a fair system, a land of opportunities indeed, which allowed me to have the best of life.
- I remember I was never short of delicious food at the local coffee shops on almost every street corner away from the city.(where most stall’s owner almost dumb, and won't talk) Besides, never fall short of hip cafes, (200 Baht only for Latte), international fancy restaurants (that cost an arm and a leg)
My mental health was in a good state too, and the same went to people around me in those days.
With cool and comfortable public transport with a driver who smiled (though no one smiled back), wide spick & span clean and good sidewalks (no broken tiles, no street vendors), smooth road work (with almost no cars)
With good public car parking (with hidden fleets of eagle eyes parking wardens), full of lush greenery with fruit trees (not for you to pluck)
Lastly, nice TV programs (with familiar face artists who never aged like Tom & Jerry). I can’t ask for more.
However, if that sort of life isn’t your cup of tea, then.. Thailand is another choice, by pound for pound.
- Let’s look at how my life in Thailand is somewhat stressful for some faint-hearted foreigners but is awesome for others who were born, grew up, and live to die another day, the type who believes we live once— We all have to die, not today, —why worry?
- As compared to a sense of calmness, contentment, and ease in life in Singapore. Thailand has choices to have the best of life for foreigners who prefer a righteous lifestyle, while others opt for a wild, wild, west, a more action-packed life.- Ask your Swiss, German, and Russian friends in Thailand for details.
Bangkok is the capital of Thailand and it’s exhilarating as we have unexpected occurrences every single day. Like the ladyboys’ war between 20 Filipinos and 1,000 Thai trans which was over on the same day, A ‘Prison Break’ who broadcasted his innocence via YouTube 3 times, is still on the run.
Those foreigners who love action-packed life may find it interesting. For that matter, my foreign wife kept asking me to take her there each time the mob announced the venue to stage a protest.
If any foreigner is undesirable and badly behaved, there is a way for the locals to express dissatisfaction—You’d better be good! Most Thai- don’t know English but “ Get Out” is universal.
In Chiang Mai, I know the AQI is the world’s worst this month, all are advised to wear a face mask if you want to live a life free from lung cancer to have the pink of physical health.
- In Thailand I was never short of delicious food, and coffee for 35Baht by the roadside/ sidewalk almost everywhere in and out of the city-so convenient. Besides, never fall short of hip cafes, (less the half of the price in Singapore), Int’l fancy restaurants (that cost really one-third of Singapore’s prices as well.
- Even watching the world-class oldie like Tom Jones is 2,800 to 7,000 Baht while paying 11,500–36,500 Baht in the Top-notch venue in Singapore yesterday/ 10 Mar 24.
My mental health has been in a good state too, and the same goes to people around me. Cool and fast Bangkok public buses always with drivers from hell overtaking left and right racing with a BMW M sport on the fast lane.
BTS Sky Trains in Bangkok is foreigners’ favorite (it costs the locals an arm), A busy and free-for-all sidewalks in some areas (with booby traps to fall, street vendors, and street dogs, good for kids to practice tic-tac-toe excellently), roads that are packed with motorcars and motorcycles, with no public car parking in the inner cities anywhere in Thailand ( but hundred of ‘Wats/ temples open for parking 24/7)
Greenery like trees and shrubs in the city? What? Are these words in French or Spanish?
Lastly, nice TV programs (in Thai) for free if you pay 299 Baht a month from TrueMoveH deal for 5G and & WiFi. Foreigner’s package is at least double the price as a rule.
There is a choice before you —having a high-quality life with one of the world’s best standards of living, having full trust in this man (below), and going to —Singapore.
Wanna a city living like Bangkok contributes to stress for some faint-hearted locals the more madness the merrier for friends like Swiss, Germans, and Russians— always be my guest, WELCOME to THAILAND.
