There are times when he genuinely delivers on promises. Am I a fan of the man? No. But I will give credit when it’s due, though. Trump promised to release all FBI files related to the assassination of former president John F. Kennedy.[1]
And now he’s done it. FBI “suddenly” found 14,000+ documents regarding the presidential hit that had previously “disappeared” somehow…
At this point I wouldn’t be surprised if next week Trump signs another executive order regarding Area 51 and we all find out there have been aliens among us all along. I mean, what gives?
My expectations are low as hell. The bar is honestly in hell at this point. And yet there are times like this when I find the current administration rather fascinating. Trump’s complete and utter disregard for the FBI and matters of national security is worrisome, but may provide us with a treasure trove of fascinating information to dive into. And as someone who loves to get down into the nitty gritty details of things, that’s endlessly fascinating. I’m sure Oliver Stone and others into the JFK assassination and associated conspiracy theories are salivating right now at the prospect…
The best thing about Trump, as a person, is how he’s the sort of guy who, when told “you can’t do that!” will say: “hold my beer and watch me, man!” and do exactly that. The thing you told him he couldn’t do. The thing no other president did before. He’ll do it, simply because he can. For better or worse.
