Which one is more interesting, Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur, or Singapore?

BANGKOK. Here are the reasons:

  • Bangkok has everything for every travelers. From history to culture, architecture, shopping, culinary, urban landscape, art, even the sex oriented tourism.
  • If you’re not really into urban exploring, Bangkok is the transport hub for mountainous cities in northern Thailand or coastal cities with white sandy beaches in southern Thailand.
  • Bangkok is a melting pod where modernism meets tradition. Where saffron-robbed monks walk side by side with the fashionable gym-addict male Bangkokians, where tasty street food vendors swarm with the picturesque cafes or bars, where the skytrain runs over the roaring tuktuks.
  • Bangkok is served by a modern system of mass rapid transit. It has 2 Skytrain lines, 2 MRT lines, 1 airport rail link, 1 BRT line, and extensive comfortable bus networks. Even the old buses are clean, well treated, and comfortable enough.
  • Bangkokians, or Thai in general, are highly tolerant about differences. They don’t mind what your religion, ethnic, or sexual orientation is, or how you dress (except in the temple, as long as you have a respectful manner to where you are.
  • Bangkok is a food paradise! Affordable food, wide variety, with delicious taste. I’m an Indonesian Christian, I eat pork, and pork is not widely served in Indonesia.
  • Bangkok is a shopping paradise.
  • Daily expenses in Bangkok is lower compared to Kuala Lumpur and Singapore, even lower than Jakarta in some aspects.
  • Bangkokians and Thai in general are warmer and friendlier than Singaporeans or Malaysians.
  • I love exploring river, and Bangkok has a vibrant river or canals, equipped with the Chao Praya Express system. The river is huge and clean enough, compared to rivers in Indonesia lol.

So far, Bangkok is my favorite city in South East Asia.
