In my experience, they like some muscle. As in, they love it when their man is strong enough to make them feel safe and protected, but very few women need or even prefer their man to look like some sort of greased-up oily bodybuilder.
I’ve never personally known a girl who was into this look. A buff man they may find great, but there appears to be an upper limit, too. I have even known one girl who straight-up told me she tends to reject heavily muscled gymbros because she assumes they must be “compensating for something” — it was her experience, having dated two of them, that their massive bulging biceps was making up for something decidedly less massive in between their watermelon-sized veiny thighs.
That said, types are varied, different people like different things. But I find that often, the people most impressed by a man’s muscle are other men — or, gay men. My brother prefers men and told me in any given gym, about 60% of the guys are homosexual and that they tend to be far fitter than the average straight guy.
