What is the next step for former President Donald Trump in politics?

Some people are afraid of his “policies” but they really shouldn’t worry — Donald Trump isn’t the leader of the Republican party, he’s merely it’s mascot. A figurehead. The horse to which the GOP has hitched it’s wagon. Let’s not kid ourselves, the man’s mind is rapidly slipping.

Just yesterday, Trump appeared on a podcast with Andrew Schultz. Schultz is pretty pro-Trump but when the former president called himself “a truthful person”, even he couldn’t control his laughter… he literally laughed in Trump’s face.[1] In essence, his own people know he’s a joke. They know he’s 78 years old, the son of two parents who both died of Alzheimer’s disease. They know he’s a chronic liar. And they’ve all seen him fall apart during his only debate with Kamala Harris. Now Trump’s people have rejected a Fox News debate invitation, too — they know he’ll make an ass of himself.[2]

The next step for Donald Trump, politically? There’s no next step. There is just decline, followed by a forced early retirement or death. J.D. Vance is the future of the Republican party in America. He’ll run the show behind the scenes even if Trump does get elected, while Trump will just golf. Kind of like how Biden was president on paper but everyone knew Anthony Blinken ran the show. There’s no “next step”, it’s all a mirage. Don’t be naive.
