What are every day symptoms of Vitamin D deficiency?

I’m 19 years old, and I feel fit and mobile.

But, lots of teenagers feel the opposite, they feel:

  • Tired all the time
  • Struggle to concentrate

I, too, was somewhat scared of it after knowing this.

But, that’s not all.

Vitamin D deficiency can harm you in the long run because it leads to osteoporosis, bone fractures, chronic fatigue, heart disease, anxiety and depression, and cognitive decline.

So, this is a sign for you to get enough vitamin D.

But, maybe you’re wondering how.

Well, here are some of the things you could do to get vitamin D:

  1. Get morning sunlight exposure
  2. Eat egg yolks, fatty fish, and fortified milk
  3. Take vitamin D supplements

Now, what about the dosage of vitamin D consumption?

The recommended daily intake of Vitamin D varies, such as:

  • Adults (19-70 years): 600–800 IU (15–20 mcg) daily.
  • Elderly (70+): 800 IU (20 mcg) daily.
  • Pregnant or breastfeeding women: 600–800 IU daily.

These are the recommended daily intake.

Although, for a better understanding, you can do a medical check-up to see how much vitamin D you should get.
