“What leverages does the Trump administration have to force Ukraine into agreements with Russia?”

Trump and Putin come to agreement, proudly wave it around, and proclaim to the world the end of hostility between Russia and Ukraine. They tell Zekenskyy and the Ukrainian military to stop fighting because Trump, Putin and their agreement said so.

Mr. Zelenskyy says:

• Mr. Trump, you are President of the United States and you have some authority there, but you have no authority over Ukraine, but I as the duly elected President of Ukraine do have authority over Ukraine.
• Mr. Putin, you are President of the Russian Federation and you have some authority there, but you have no authority over Ukraine, but I as the duly elected President of Ukraine do have authority over Ukraine.
• You two talk about some agreement that you have negotiated and signed, but I was not involved in those negotiations, I disagree with your agreement and I have not signed that agreement, so it is null and void, and, by my authority as President of Ukraine, I have commanded the continued manufacturing and purchase of implements of war, as well as the use of those implements of war against military targets in Russian territory along with taking control of more Russian territory.
• In the meantime, we have seen no decrease by the Russian Federation in their illegal assault of our sovereign territory contrary to various agreements in the past agreed to and signed by the Russian Federation, Ukraine, and the United States promised to uphold the sovereignty and 1991 borders of Ukraine. We will continue to fight until the status quo promised in those agreements is restored.
• And finally, Mr. Trump and Mr. Putin, just so the papers you signed are not wasted but are re-purposed effectively for protection of the environment, you should split those papers between the two of you so that you have plenty for wiping your dirty stinking, lying butts.

In the meantime, numerous European countries, who were not party to the referenced document, enhance their military and other aid to Ukraine to offset the reduction of such aid by the US.

Now, what were you saying about leverage by the arrogant, narcissistic President Trump and his administration?
