When you are broke and depressed, how do you fight your way out of depression?

Depression is hunting you, me, and everyone.

You might feel depression, but it doesn’t mean you are depressed.

Maybe that doesn’t make sense to you. But, let me explain.

Let me ask you this.

If you feel happiness right now, will you classify yourself as a happy person?

No! Why?

Because the feeling you’re feeling doesn’t and shouldn’t put the tag on to your life.

If you are happy, you don’t say you’re a happy person.

But, when you’re sad, everything evolves around that.

How would you know that something is good when you don’t know the contrast of that feeling?

Here’s one thing to remember.

No light without dark.

Here are the things that you need to know about depression.

  • Depression only manifests itself when you’ve never faced a more sophisticated problem than that.
  • Depression only manifests itself when you let emotions CONTROL your actions.
  • Depression only manifests itself when we implement negative judgments of a problem.

Ask yourself this question when you are depressed.

  • Am I having a bad time, or do/did people have it worse?
  • Do I have it as hard as the people before me?
  • Is this a sign of weakness? Or is this just to help me be a stronger person?

Answer all these questions.

Once you answer it, then we have a way (which in fact I practice) to not feel depressed.

What are the ways to overcome depression?

  • Change Mindset. Remember that a thing doesn’t have a label of good or bad. It’s about your judgment. When a problem occurs, is it something to be sad about? Or to be a better person and shape your realistic views of the world.
  • Learn to Sacrifice. When you are depressed, don’t listen to that voice that tells you to stay in your room, listen to sad music, and do nothing. Do not ever listen! I mean it. I know it’s hard to do things. But, life goes on without caring about your feelings. That’s the truth. Sacrifice what you want for what you need.
  • Exercise. This is part of the sacrifice. I know you don’t want to get up and have a walk. I know your brain is telling you not to do push-ups. I know your brain wants you to lay in bed. Well, don’t listen to it. When you exercise, your brain releases dopamine, which basically makes you happier. Not only that, but physical health is the building block of a healthy mindset. Imagine yourself being absolutely down. Would you rather sit and think about that problem? Or would you rather go for a 20-minute walk. You would probably sit. But, trust me! Walking would do much more to your mood.
  • Have a goal. When you don’t have a goal, your life would seem very abstract. Anything you do would mean nothing. This will never satisfy you. The thing with depression is that it gets worse with confusion. So, pick a goal and stick to it. Aim a bit lower (Push yourself but still make your goals realistic and reachable).
  • Remember that you aren’t at the finish line. Don’t accept for what you are. Accept for what you could be. If you stay in a depressed state, do not waste time there. Why? Because it restrains you from reaching your goal earlier. Whenever you are depressed, think about this. Are you already where you want to be in life? If not, then wipe the tears. Just do it! Toughen up. I know it sounds hard. But life goes on without waiting for you.

These are all the things that I do.

I feel depressed sometimes. But, I pick myself back up.

I know that I’m not destined to be a depressed person.

I know I could be better.

I know I could push myself harder to reach my goals and stop thinking about anything.

Focus, change your mindset, and love life.
