Do you think Marine Le Pen has a good chance of becoming the next President of France in 2027 despite the investigation into her alleged misuse of EU funds?

Today, on Monday, March 31, 2025, a French court found Marine Le Pen guilty of embezzlement of government funds.[1] She is, hereby, officially disqualified from running in the 2027 French elections. This is massive news.

Le Pen is the leader of the largest right-wing political party in France and was the strongest right-wing contender to the presidency. She is also one of the few French politicians potentially popular enough to unseat long-time leader Emmanuel Macron. On top of this, Le Pen is one of the staunchest Kremlin allies in Europe, and a major asset for the Russians and their grand strategy to “divide and conquer” Europe. Her inability to run for office is a huge blow to this Russian strategy aimed at sowing discontent and in-fighting on the European continent…

Marine Le Pen had a pretty good chance at, one day, becoming the President of France. But as of today, those hopes are officially dashed. Le Pen is done for, and the right will have to come up with another leader to replace her as she has now become legally unelectable.
