Can yoga asanas help cure diabetes?

Today, we are living an artificial life .We adopted a wrong life style, wrong food habits.Above all screen time or execs use of electronic and electrical devices make our life more complicated. Any how if we spend 30 minutes to 45 minutes daily ,we may get rid of many diseases.

Yes, we can control diabetes without medication,by practicing some exercise ,asanas and by changing our food habit.

Yoga is the ultimate solution for physical,mental and social problems.

First of all let us know what are the causes of diabetes???

Diabetes is primarily caused by a combination of geneticlifestyle, and environmental factors.

Type 1 Diabetes

  • An autoimmune reaction destroys insulin-producing cells in the pancreas, often linked to genetic predisposition and possibly viral infections.

Type 2 Diabetes

  • Characterized by insulin resistance and insufficient insulin production, it is influenced by factors such as obesity, sedentary lifestyle, age, family history, and ethnicity.
  • Besides there is another type diabetes which is very common during pregnancy.

Gestational Diabetes

  • Occurs during pregnancy and is associated with factors like obesity, age over 25, and family history of diabetes.
  • # Please read the following points carefully before practice the yoga for diabetes:-
  • We should have some knowledge about the anatomy of pancreas.

PANCREAS

  • There are three types of special cells in our ilets of langerhans such as Alpha cells,Beta cells,and Delta cells.Insulin is secrets from the Beta cells which helps to break down the glucose (C⁶H¹²O⁶) and release energy.
  • Diabetes is a metabolic disorder in which the body's improper use of sugar is the main issue.
  • The digestive processes convert dietary sugars and starches into glucose, which is the primary fuel for the body's different functions and the energy source for of organs and metabolic functions of the cells.
  • When this gland becomes stressed or exhausted, the hormone insulin becomes deficient in quantity or sensitivity. As a result, the blood sugar level becomes high and uncontrolled.
  • Now let's see which asanas or exercise should we do to active the function of pancreas and control diabetes:-
