American actor Clint Eastwood, aged 94, recently gave a moving speech.
"Getting old is terrifying, isn't it? You see it all with your own eyes. Bones no longer move smoothly, light tires your eyes, and your lungs seize the opportunity to rest after desperately searching for breath...
But what is even more terrifying and exhausting is to reach the age of ninety without having anyone among those you love close to you to listen with exasperation to the stories of your past filled with imaginary exploits, knowing that they are not really interested, but taking pleasure, as a grandfather, in passing on what you deem appropriate to your grandchildren.
It's scary to be alone when everyone was once looking for you. And in the end, after spending your life searching for the light, you didn't gain a family, and you lived in darkness when you needed a hand to guide you to the light?
Take care to form a family. Chasing fame is like ashes blown by the wind...
It neither lights fires nor stays in place."
