I never actually lived there, but was TDY.
As a white man, I found that Filipinas are the easiest women in the world to have sex with. I could have slept with two or three different women a day, every day, if I had the time and energy for it. I don’t mean prostitutes, although there are a lot of them. Many of the Filipinas I’ve been with were virgins. It is like they are saving themselves, not for marriage, but for the first white guy who they are alone with. Amazing.
The culture is problematic with the attitude of corruption (fixers), manyana, crab mentality, expectation that the oldest daughter is to work to give money to her parents and lazy brothers (and their families!). Women get knocked up and local men won’t marry a woman with children, so single motherhood is out of control. Mothers raise their daughters to want to marry a white guy so he is their ATM and raise their sons to be lazy. They have a petty chiefton mentality, where someone with a little bit of authority thinks he can bully others. They don’t seem to understand the idea of maintenance. I’ve seen some improvement, such as Greenbelt and BGC, but in general, they build something then they let it fall into disrepair. Sidewalks and streets crumble. Filth builds up. You don’t see that with the similar climate of Singapore.
Interestingly, the women who throw themselves at white men and the petty chiefton mentality go all the way back to Magellan’s visit.
There are some good food items, but most of it is awful. They can start off with perfectly good ingredients and turn it into crp. Why did you do that?! I eat a lot of McDonalds and Wendys in the Philippines, because it is at the top of the scale.
