Look at a young Al Pacino in the Godfather movies. Pacino is a small, slight man. Only about 5′6″ on a good day, he isn’t muscular either, nor is he loud, or covered in tattoos. Physically he not imposing and not a remarkable specimen.
One thing he is, though, is well-dressed. He carries himself with a quiet ease, a certain confidence that’s always just there and never seems to leave him. There’s an underlying menace, underneath. Something a little sinister. One thing is very certain — he knows what he wants. And he goes for it, in the completely earnest belief that he’ll get it. If he likes a lady, he’ll look at her without shame. And let her know he likes her.
Notice the movements of Pacino. Slow. Unhurried, never rushed. Whatever he does, wherever he is, even if he’s outnumbered or outgunned, he’s in control of himself. He’s not a nervous man. Not finnicky. He talks clearly, walks straight, looks people in the eye and isn’t afraid to stare — he’s fearless.
You’ll never not be short. But there is a lot you can control — how you dress, how you talk, how you walk, stand and move. How you carry yourself, and how you project power. Be a man confident in your own skin, not one who would bemoan his lack of height or any other attributes he has no control over. Be your own master.
