What are some unwritten rules of everyday life?

  1. Always return borrowed money ASAP.
  2. When you are going to stay at someone's place, buy some sweets or snacks for them.
  3. While making a small talk with someone you just met, if you ask where they live and they just tell you the area and not exact place, don't be creepy and ask, “Yeah but where exactly at xyz colony/ street?”
  4. Don't ask people you just met too many details about their family.
  5. Don't ask questions that'll lead to conclusion about someone's financial state. For example, don't ask people their salary.
  6. While talking about someone, if you find the other person ignoring the question or if they seem uncomfortable, just change the topic.
  7. When you see someone cry, always offer them water.
  8. When you see a crime happening or if you land up at the place after something has happened, inform the police.
  9. Call the ambulance when you witness a road accident. Help the victim if possible.
  10. When you borrow someone else's vehicle, fill the petrol tank before returning them their vehicle.
  11. If someone pays for you, you pay for them the next time.
  12. Never order something expensive when someone else is paying.
  13. When you return borrowed clothes, wash and iron them before returning. If the garment is too delicate or expensive, dry clean it.
  14. Don't mark borrowed books. Return them in the condition you borrowed them.
  15. When people give you food in their tiffin, return them their tiffin filled with food from your side. Or at least wash it clean.
  16. If you are a girl and an another girl asks you for sanitary pad, you give it to her. Even if she is your worst enemy.
  17. If you are closer to the door, open it and hold it open for the person behind you. It doesn't matter if you are a man or a woman.
  18. Always thank/ greet waiters, drivers, delivery guys, office boys, security guards, cleaners. It costs nothing to be kind.
